When we choose to breed, we most of all strive for sound dogs with good health and free of hereditary illnesses. The bred-by-us offspring should be especially qualified for the role of dogs at home - real pleasure to their owners. The show victories are also important, but second both in the dogs' and owners' life - or so we think. And so our puppies are "created" with the aim of a good temperament, nice exterior, trainability and, of course, health.

Litterbox

We stopped breeding Kavkazskaya ovtcharka in 1999, with our last litter out of Boyar. This breed is our affection and we won't stop working with it, but in the last 5-6 years the Siberian husky became our passion and, besides, we're patiently waiting for the appearance of good quality dogs in Bulgaria, from which to choose the next generation of Vabank Kavkazians.

The Siberian husky strategy we develop? Well, we're still in the beggining and just have bred our first high class litters... What we aim is: sound in mind and body dogs, cappable of working in harness, with mild temperament and good trainability. The main line we have produced so far (3 generations) is based on our foundation bitch, CH. Lynn Bellbuck Nicol and gives smaller, more sturdy dogs with nice heads and expressions, good angulation and body proportions; dogs who are very energetic and live, and very - really very! - craving for work. Tipical for our breeding is let's say Vabank Aurora Borealis. The best success is the second generation born Vabank Vodka to the Bottom, who won 4-th place in Puppy class at Eurodogshow in Barcelona (2003). To this dogs we strive to add more size and mass, and more modern heads. The last litters of the 3-d generation (D and E) are still to grown up but as for the moment we think we were right in the breeding.
In the same time we continue to import new foundation dogs, who are bred separately to the main mass of Bulgarian dogs. The first litter of that class is our Z-litter, based on 3/4 Innisfree's bloodlines and 1/4 Kristari; aimed for very proportional and beautiful dogs with good angulation and coat; size and in the same time mass, and earlier development. The other line we're planning to breed are Artic Sun/Snowmist based dogs, who are smaller but even more beautiful in appearance... And later we plan to combine those three lines for to create the "ideal" for us dog: both with size and mass, beauty and proportions.
Well, stay tuned for more news in the next 5-6 years...
